Mentor Kevin's Financial Story & Background
For 35 years I was in hospitality management/service & training. I was doing well but I didn’t give much attention to the debt that was growing. I figured I could pay it off. I didn’t realize how quickly interest and fees can sweep over you – let alone any unexpected circumstances that can (and will) occur.
Over a decade ago, we had accrued a lot of household debt which included medical, installment loans, car loans and more. We were living week to week. That was very difficult and emotional. That stress manifested itself in both subtle and not so subtle ways.
We heard about Dave Ramsey and Financial Peace University and decided to attend a series of classes. Later we began utilizing his principles and a Mentor, we were able to pay off $80,000 in combined debt in 2 years – what a relief.
From that point on, we continued those principles & built up an emergency fund. Then we had enough cash to start paying cash for everything including things like auto repairs, replacing a bad furnace and broken water heater. We even purchased a car with cash!
From that point on, we started building wealth, paying off our home and doing the things we always dreamed of while also helping our family and others.
Having spent my life in customer service, I decided to become a certified master financial coach with Ramsey Solutions. I am now an independent consultant but use the Ramsey principles and teach you the tools to do what we did.
I want to give you hope! You just need to be truly committed & intentional.
Debt does not have to be a way of life. Things can definitely be better for you, for your family, and those you care deeply about.
Now I share that prosperity and good fortune with my clients and I love empowering them to take the path to getting out of debt permanently and starting to build wealth.
I was afraid of money! Afraid of not having enough money to pay the bills and pay them on time. Afraid of spending money unwisely. (Poor will power) It was hard to function because I was worrying all day and sleeping poorly at night, I kept repeating my mistakes.
I was desperate and definitely needed advice.
But how do you find an expert? And how do you know if he/she truly is an expert? Are you getting advice that makes sense? Do you feel you should be buying a myriad of their brochures? Reliable? How would you know?
So great! More things to worry about!
But sometimes you get lucky in life………a friend of mine introduced me to Kevin, Still, I was hesitant and skeptical. I met him at his office. And to my surprise we didn’t discuss money right away. Instead, he shared HIS financial horror story. It was worse than mine. I thought financial advisors never made mistakes. Well, they do. And then he shared the steps and processes he took to turn his woes into wows!
I started to relax. I began to believe not only could I trust Kevin, but his suggestions started to make sense. That’s when I started to believe my own financial woes could be fixed!
My advice to you? Make an appointment with Kevin. Listen to what he has to say. If you commit to working on your problems, Kevin will commit to giving you financial advice for said problems that will work.
So stay the money course with Kevin. And the best of luck to you!
